About Me
In 2013, I graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a degree in communications and journalism. In the months that followed graduation, I found myself struggling to decide what it was I wanted to do with my life. All of a sudden it hit me just as it did Colin Hanks's character in the film 'Orange County'...
I want to be a writer.
Flash forward seven years to today: I now work as a Senior Manager, Strategic Communications for a corporate travel management company. I am also a PMI Certified Project Management Professional.

While I enjoy the challenging nature of content management, I often find myself craving a more creative outlet for my writing. So, I also write on a freelance basis for a number of print and web publications.
My freelance writing mostly consists of travel writing and feature writing. My content has been published by the Matador Network, Eat Your World, GoOverseas.com, Coastal Style Magazine, Medium.com, BootsnAll, Sunny Day Guide and the Metropolitan Magazine.
I find comfort in creative writing, and I have had short stories published by Literary Heist, Penultimate Peanut, and 101 Words. In 2019, I also co-wrote a book with my husband, Jason, about senior rescue dogs, called Old Dogs, New Chapters.
